Welcoming Autumn

The leaves are turning and we’re just a few days from September, but the air is still summer warm here…warm enough for ice cream, lake swimming and BBQ’s. But I’ve had the scent of autumn come sneaking through the open window sometimes, and it gives me goosebumps.

I’m supposed to be running every other day, but I’m finding it a little bit difficult to stick to my routine – why? Because the forest is so beautiful. I just want to be ambling through the trees, instead of hurrying past them. I want to pause whenever I see a mushroom or beautiful leaf. I love running. I never imagined I would, but I do, though at the moment I’m more taken with walking and stopping to watch autumn arrive.
